Duties & Responsibilities Purpose The Business Development Manager's responsibility is to identify new business opportunities, you will be able to strategically develop and maintain external relationships and must be comfortable in communicating with all levels of management both internally and externally. You will have a strong market knowledge in the Automotive Industry and will be able to deliver and develop strategies based on your extensive market intelligence and key industry relationships. Functions Essential Support leadership to set the overall objectives for the AGV Business and provide valuable input, guidance and market knowledge to the organization. Develop sale strategies, targeted action plans to deliver on identified opportunities in German speaking countries, including Eastern Europe. Using market analysis, you will work closely with the leadership team to explore growth strategies and develop strong client relationships. With the aim of developing global business, you will engage with new clients by regular interaction and will build on strong current client relationships with Key Account Management. You will collaborate with our internal Marketing team as well as our Engineering team on a regular basis, as well as other internal departments as and when required. You will regularly feed in with data, price and agreed rates to our Bids and Proposals team. You will provide valuable input to the Bids and Proposals team with information gained on your regular client interactions with regular internal meetings. You will be comfortable in using your extensive knowledge to provide detailed business plans for future growth You will regularly network within the industry and will be available to travel Internationally and Domestically on a regular basis (more than 50%) to establish new relationships and contacts. You will be a goal orientated person, decisive and persistent. Native German Speaker and fluent in English Additional Ideally you will have a background in Engineering, providing concepts to end users. You will be tenacious outgoing person with the ability to spot and execute new business opportunities. You will have a demonstrated background in the manufacturing or automotive industries You will hold weekly sales meetings with the team to discuss operations and strategies No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position, you will be expected to work autonomously to a high standard and will report directly to the Director of Business Development. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline (Engineering, Business) Demonstrated ability to provide results in Business Development, 5 to 10 years' experience Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with remote and local team members from different backgrounds Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence and persuade Excellent interviewing skills, with the ability to ask open questions and engage in active listening.
