The Sr Subsea Surveillance Engineer leads subsea related activities and issues for the Shell Operated Assets. The Sr Subsea Surveillance Engineer provides operational guidance to the offshore personnel, to projects, interventions team, and liaising with vendors and service companies. The role is responsible for the day to day monitoring of the subsea equipment and subsea related topsides equipment, identifying and troubleshooting issues, ensuring subsea assets integrity, and compliance with performance standards and with regulatory agencies. This role is further required to perform causal learning and root cause analysis of subsea systems to sustain long-term asset integrity and ensure best-in-class run-time availability of the subsea systems. The subsea equipment support will also include Deepwater pumping operations for Shell Brasil. This includes surveillance of the midline pump (MLP) /electrical submersible pumps (ESP's) and coordinating equipment testing and maintenance with appropriate Shell and/or 3rd party partners. This role will coordinate multi-discipline teams of specialists comprised of representatives from the supply chain and various vendor material and service suppliers. Purpose: Maintain operating systems integrity and regulatory compliance Maintain guidance of operations of subsea systems Monitoring and supporting optimization of the subsea production system Maintaining all documents necessary to demonstrate system integrity and in compliance with Shell and regulatory standards and processes. Accountabilities: Implementation of the operational strategy for surveillance. Ability to resolve technical issues impacting business performance. Dimensions : The Sr Subsea Surveillance engineer is expected to have a full understanding of the documentation, operation and constraints of all aspects of their assigned asset`s subsea systems. Currently Shell Brazil have two operated producing Assets, Bijupira-Salema and BC-10 Parque das Conchas. Performance analysis of Assets operating plans and results in strategic focus areas. Build strong relationships with staff, management and a wider distributed network across the business. Requirements Minimum of 7 years experience in Technical Function with subsea production and subsea project-related activities Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Petroleum Engineering required. Previous exposure and knowledge in subsea operations and surveillance processes required. Experience with pumps and motors; Subsea Mudline Pump / Electrical Submersible Pump ispreferred. Availability to go offshore. Good interpersonal skills, being able to work with personnel within and outside the team. Good analytical reasoning, ability to analyze technical issues and develop solutions. Experience in developing and writing procedures is desirable. Ability to manage contractors and coordinate engineering activities remotely. Experience in dealing with interfacing with Governmental agencies and regulators The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication ability. Must be capable in business performance analysis and have the ability to organize, analyze and communicate messages effectively. Job requires networking skills and the ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure. The competence required for this position is a combination of technical ability, leadership capacity, operational delivery understanding, capacity to build diverse relationships, while exhibiting an understanding of Shell E&P operations. HSSE leadership experience with demonstrated sound technical decision making.
