Description

As an Accountant at Maersk, you will be responsible for monitoring the financial activity of multiple facilities, including processing journal entries, timely account reconciliations and producing facility financial statements once the month is closed. You will also assist with oversight of financial controls and compile monthly facility volumes to confirm with management.

This position will be based in Florham Park, NJ.

Key responsibilities

Include but not limited to:
-Responsible for facility financial reports - preparation and analysis of these reports.
- Assist with the oversight of Maersk processes and procedures being adhered to.
- Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Compile monthly - facility volumes.
-Frequent communication with facility management, regarding working capital and financial reports.

We are looking for

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly preferred
- 3-5 years of business experience required
- Advanced level technical skills in Excel and Power Point
- Strong communication skills.
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills
- Detail oriented
- Proven track record of timely reporting of facility financial statements by Day 3 after monthly close (or close to). Limited amount of prior period transactions affecting current month results.
