Job Title:FCC- Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Supervise and coordinate the operation of the Field Control Centre (FCC) which controls and monitors field facilities which include wellhead platforms, satellites, water injection plant, gas treatment plant, Central separation plant and utilities of central complex and ACPT's. Supervision of operation of barge facilities at ACPT-1 & ACPT-2. Ensure that production targets are achieved and standing instructions are followed.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the Field Control Centre and ACPT operation efficiently according to work programmers and standing instructions. Coordinate operations in close coordination with 3 Area supervisors, Team Leader (Plant & Satellites) and Surface Operation Supervisor, Data gathering Supervisor to meet production and injection targets. Maintain all concerned parties in production section and other departments fully aware of ongoing jobs and are informed of any changes.
  • Manage the performance and enforce improvements on the Senior Panel Operators and ACPT Operators and coordinate their activities particularly in abnormal situations such as complete field shutdown/start up. Give assistance as required to any of the control consoles in FCC.
  • Coordinate Work in close liaison with other Area Supervisors and Performing Supervisors during start-up, shutdown or plant upsets, under the guidance of Team Leader.
  • Maintain close and continuous contact with ADMA-OPCO platform (Zakum West), UAF, Zirku and Field Areas via FCC hotlines. Review daily/weekly/monthly reports from to produce the monthly production report. Develop and review procedures of reporting information efficiently.
  • Analyze all occurrences in general and emergencies and unusual events in particular. Managing and ensuring that all record and actions are taken.
  • Coordinate between supervisors on a day-to-day basis to plan the daily work program and to receive information on the execution of the planned activities.
  • Review proposed modifications to enhance utilization and safety of the equipment. Receive notification of any modifications of plant and equipment and follow up to ensure that such modifications have taken place, maintaining good records for future reference.
  • Manage schedules for daily, weekly and monthly work programmes of contractors and supervise them for the quality and timely completion of the job.
  • Prepare and approve detailed procedures to be followed during non-routine maintenance work.
  • Confirm production records are prepared correctly and efficiently for transmission to Abu Dhabi.
  • Maintain records of all occurrences and plant conditions. Check log books kept by FCC Senior Operators and ACPT Operators.
  • Lead Teams to conduct all activities within the area of responsibility by implementing "HSE Standards and Guide Lines" set by the Company.
  • Guide and Develop UAE National Developees to achieve their target position set by hierarchy.
  • Give guidance and help / follow up for newly integrated operators and Sr. Operator. And Monitor, evaluate and improve the performance of FCC and ACPT personal.
  • Take the role of "On Scene Commander" in the event of emergency situations at ACPT's and communicate/action in direct contacts with Deputy Emergency Controller.
  • Prepare and approve of operating budget and monitor expenditure on a monthly basis.
  • Approve and review work permits, initiated by Maintenance and other departments for hot and cold work, Carry out electrical isolation and lock off for involved equipment and test it after maintenance work completion.
  • Monitor HSE and safety performance in the accommodation platforms encouraging HSE observation reporting, conducting HSE meetings and continuous refresher training for staff. Enforce auditing of PTW and plant integrity.
  • Review engineering packages and relevant documents of proposed projects and contribute on meetings.
  • Manage and control execution activities of all projects at ACPT's in coordination with maintenance team and Evaluate non-routine activities by risk assessments and JSA before performing and create document support.
  • Coordinates pre-startup, startup, operation, control, optimization and shutdown of process sections in compliance with established procedures, standing instructions and best practices.
  • Closely monitors and analyze critical process parameters, process performance and efficiency, initiating changes as necessary through subordinate work teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary Technical Education (12 years) plus advanced vocational qualifications.
  • 11 years of production or refinery experience in the petroleum industry, including 3 years as a Senior Panel Operator and 2 years in a Supervisory position in a modern plant.
  • Or : B.Sc. degree in Chemical plus 5 years' experience.
  • Good knowledge of English.
