Key responsibilities

• Win and deliver profitable businesses by selling Maersk's end-to-end products
• Pro-actively engage into new customer relationships, identify high potential customers and develop them further into regular accounts
• On board customers to our Digital products as the primary selling channel
• Together with Customer Service, ensuring awareness and high utilization of our whole portfolio of E-Commerce tools to create the most efficient customer engagement
• Collaborate with our Marketing team to create Digital selling methods/campaigns
• Internally manage the selling process to the customers via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforece.com), including sales pipeline, opportunity management, contract negotiations and filing as well as account planning
• Pro-active contract management: renewal of rates, space allocation management, and maintaining up to date side terms like free-time as well as credit agreements
• Inform customers on business relevant market developments and changes and proactively gain accurate market information from your customers for internal feedback to our Product Management team
• Be the voice of the customer and actively engage with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Management team) to resolve challenges, improve products and increase customer satisfaction
• Reinforce Maersk Group culture, values and reputation and ensure compliance with Maersk Group policies in our direct involvement with customers

We are looking for

• The ideal candidate is a team player, looks for solutions, is extrovert and possesses strong communication skills face to face meetings, via telephone as well as in written
• He/she is a self-starter, able to take ownership, thinks out of the box and is willing to go the extra mile for customers and is capable to build long term relationships
• He/she should have sense of urgency while remaining accurate in stressful situations and proactively thinks about solutions, which can be via out of the box methods
• He/she should have high affinity to online way of working, CRM systems, multi stakeholder processes in global scale, and international corporations
• It is preferable that he/she has a good understanding of the German export/import market, shipping industry and logistics processes with an education background in Shipping, Logistics, Economics or Marketing
• The individual should be fluent in German and English, both verbally and written, have good presentation and Microsoft Office skills (in particular Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), good understanding and ability to easily learn and work with live online systems (Salesforce.com is a plus)
• Lastly the individual should have more than 3 years of working experience in relevant industries
