Key responsibilities

Maersk is building an IT Financial Management capability to be able to sustainability recharge IT cost to the business, view IT cost across the estate, and optimise spend in order to achieve greater business value and return on investment. With this aim we are setting up an IT Financial Management Office that will seat in our technology organisation - within the office of the CTIO - and will drive IT Financial Management activities and IT Financial Management capability development on a daily basis.

Working closely with the Office of the CTIO, the role will cover the delivery of Financial Planning and Control, Management Information and Continuous Improvement of processes and tooling (primarily ServiceNow).

The role will drive the direction of work for the IT Financial Management Office. Prioritising the day to day operations of the IT Financial Management function, leading engagement with data consumers to ensure that valued outputs are generated and socialised from the function. They should possess the right leadership qualities to be able to manage relationships with the IT Leadership as well as senior business stakeholders and data consumers.

The candidate needs to be able to work with key stakeholders from finance and technology to align with operational and strategic goals of the company.

•Defines IT Financial Management services, acting as the key engagement point for functional leads and business units
•Drives IT Financial Management communications, continuous improvement and change management
•Work with IT Financial Management Office and stakeholders to identify the need for/ability to include additional data, outputs and model changes/updates
•Provide insight and service updates to the IT Leadership and IT Organisation
•Build and manage relationships with Global Data Owners & Consumers
•Drive activity prioritisation for the IT Financial Management Office

We are looking for

•A qualified accountant with experience of working with large complex data sets and ability to build solutions based on complex cost models to meet the needs of the organization.
•An experienced individual with a strong track record of delivering allocations and recharging to Business Units preferably in an Operations or IT function
•Previous experience of personnel management in a Financial Planning capacity
•Building management information reporting and dashboards to support business priorities and objectives
•Significant exposure to shared services organisations or complex multi stakeholder structures
•Ability to work with senior stakeholders distil complex Financial and IT information into business aligned metrics
•Ability to work within a fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions
•Ability to influence others and implement change at all levels within the IT organization
•Prevalent knowledge of technological and financial terminology, understanding key concepts and tooling
•System proficiency in data creation, modelling and reporting using advanced Excel , SQL , Word and PowerPoint
•ITIL or ITSM knowledge and experience in using ServiceNow or Aptio based IT Financial Management solutions or TBM certification is a benefit
•Preferred prior experience of SAP, BW or another Enterprise finance application
