CSI # 2201, 730 Stony Point Rd, Sant Rosa, CA 95404 SUMMARY Assists Station Manager in the overall operation of a retail facility. Performs management duties as assigned, or in the Manager's absence. Adopts and demonstrates at all times CSI's philosophies and standards regarding station operations, image, and personnel management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Performs all duties of a Cashier.• Assists Station Manager in ensuring safe, 24-hour operation of the station in accordance with Company policies and standards. • Assists Station Manager in day-to-day operation of the facility. • Knows all managerial processes and perform as needed. Duties may include any and all paperwork, control of fuel and merchandise, control of funds, computer entry, cleaning, maintenance, training, and customer relations.• Assumes control of station and personnel in the Manager's absence. • Directs and prioritizes the work of the station crew at Manager's discretion.• Anticipates problems. Takes measures to preserve the safety of self, fellow employees and all others in the work location. Ensures everyone is following safety policies. • Learns, promotes and supports CSI policy, procedure and business operations. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensures proper use of time clock and compliance with all wage and hour laws by taking meal periods and rest breaks as required by law and/or company policy.• Spot-checks facility on occasion. Available 24 hours to respond to incidents and emergencies.• Assists Station Manager in inventory and cash control procedures, including drawer and register tape checks, and mini-audits.• Performs other duties, as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Skills and Experience Required:• Previous retail experience.• Ability to read, write, and speak English.• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.• Arithmetic skills to an eighth grade level. • Strong interest in customer service. • Must possess intermediate PC skills.• Appropriate handling of emergency situations.• Must possess required up to date certificates, as required by law, for food handling in specified locations.• Valid drivers license, good driving record and in-force liability insurance if conducting price surveys. Preferred:• High School graduate or equivalent.• Previous cash handling and customer service experience.• Previous managerial experience.• Positive, out-going personality and good communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting at least 20 lbs. in narrow spaces.• Working unaccompanied, standing, and without defined break periods. Occasionally working extended shifts of 12 hours or more, as assigned. • Heavy cleaning with strong chemicals.• Spoken, and telephone interaction with office and station personnel, contractors and vendors, and corporate personnel.• Periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions at all times of day.• Occasional exposure to prolonged periods in walk-in coolers at 34°F. • May also experience extreme hot temperatures when operating store equipment. • Operate a motor vehicle in all local weather conditions. Available for work on all shifts, as assigned.• Well-organized approach to work and maintenance of work areas.• Courteous, business-like contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community at large.• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with company image standards.• Must conduct themselves at all times, in accordance with the CSI Code of Conduct.
