Job Description


The incumbent of this role will be part of a team of experts in the region that are tasked with the application of Trade Finance solutions to Maersk's large client base in the Asia Pacific Region. As an individual contributor within the Trade Finance product organisation based remotely the incumbent should be a self-starter and will work closely with the Maersk commercial organisation to build and track a sales pipeline, develop and rollout solutions for customers in the market, and assist in the onboarding and client maintenance activities alongside account owners. The incumbent will need to develop a positive working relationship with customers at multiple levels to understand and solve for their trade finance requirements and responsible for working with the local area management to deliver the sales targets for our Trade Finance business. Successful candidates will be responsible for building and converting a healthy sales pipeline in line with

the regional and area business plan and work with the commercial organisation to ensure execution, delivery and issues resolution and any other customer facing activity is conducted in line with our customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the integrated solution sales pitch for our Trade Finance products
• Lead key customer visits to explain the new product, benefits and high-level process flow
• Work with account managers to close deals with customers
• Grow the business in line with the regional and area business plans
• Responsible for Business As Usual and customer experience for each new deal
• Build and maintain a healthy customer pipeline alongside the commercial organisation within the Area/Region
• Be an ambassador for the product and the company for all customer facing activities
• Work with the customer delivery team to ensure proper execution of closed deals, along with proper documentation
• Responsible for overall revenue, utilisation, shipping volume & asset size
• Creation of active sales pipeline; successful closure of cases with internal assessment teams and support in onboarding customers. Active utilisation from all existing customers accounts
• Analyze market trends and accordingly develop sales plans to increase brand awareness
• Identify, drive and assist in tradeshows, campaigns and other promotional activities
• Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales and identify new business opportunities

We are looking for

• External candidates 4+ years in trade finance sales roles or Internal candidates with 4+ years in container shipping with educational background in finance
•Total 4+ years in trade finance sales; factoring services or banking & NBFC sales
• Strong customer communication skills
• Strong market knowledge TF and understanding of customer pain points & documentation services
• High Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin (mandatory), Cantonese (preferred)
