Job Description

What's the role?

The Engineering Programme Coordinator will be responsible to shape the global retail site equipment strategy, optimise equipment supply and after sales operational excellence in Shell Markets to continuously extract more value via the use of retail site equipment Global Framework Agreement (GFA).

This is a regional virtual role and part of the Global Engineering Strategy team covering site equipment supply to all East retail markets with 10 direct markets in Asia. This role will provide engineering advise for the business on how engineering services (partners, design standards, innovation) supports retail agenda and drive continuous improvement in the process. This role will have the opportunity to experience and contribute in end to end site equipment contract tendering process from global sourcing until deployment to make a strategic change to Shell markets equipment supply.

Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Effective strategic GFA supplier management to ensure timely delivery of retail site equipment to sites with excellent after sales support to Shell markets.
  • Responsible on development and analysis of GFA suppliers' KPIs and scorecard. Proactively look for areas for improvement to drive GFA suppliers for better product quality and supply delivery outcomes.
  • Continuously look for value improvement/leakage opportunities from an E2E site equipment supply chain and work with relevant stakeholders (e.g. GFA suppliers, Contract & Procurement, Design Standard & Innovations, Engineering Services Team etc.) to realise the values.
  • Responsible in driving GFA suppliers to co-develop innovative & cost-effective engineering solutions with the Shell markets that could help improving product Total Cost of Ownership, customer experience, E2E equipment value chain and HSSE outcome. Custodian of GFA innovations value tracker & HSSE Assurance.
  • Responsible in driving low carbon mindset within key GFA suppliers through a concrete plan from them in low carbon innovation.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous support and procurement of GFA retail site equipment from the Shell markets. Responsible to investigate and ensure market specific deviations are properly documented as GFA deviation.
  • Support market escalation on GFA related issues, including supply, product warranty issues, GFA HSSE Assurance activities etc. Regional focus is mainly on the Shell direct channels in the East as well as advisory role in supporting the East C&P Indirect Channels.
  • Responsible in defining, developing and conducting standard performance review and reporting across GFA suppliers to get a view of GFA performance at a global and regional level.


Requirements

This role involves a lot of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and partnership management to deliver business outcome.

What we need from you
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in a virtual environment without direct line responsibility
  • Competence in partnership management is important and will be assessed positively
  • Strong commercial business acumen to find new value opportunities and end to end value leakage
  • Demonstrated external focus, and analytical skills with the ability to initiate new strategic thinking
  • Must be passionate about HSSE, and drive for designing out risk exposure through the way we work
  • Physical location in an eastern time zone country is an advantage due to frequent communications with stakeholders in these time zones as well as with stakeholders in Europe
  • Having the technical capacity to work with engineering technical team, suppliers and markets to resolve systemic technical related issues
  • Demonstrated experience in managing continuous improvement projects and green belt certification will be welcomed
  • Professional retail experience and a good overall understanding of the retail business will be an advantage
