Job Description

Position Summary

Support the expansion of Oceaneering's products, services and technical and operational expertise into the Offshore Renewables market. Develop opportunities and win strategies in cross functional teams. Manage the sales funnel through the company's CRM system.

Responsible for identifying, technically promoting, and winning Offshore Wind, select Oil & Gas and adjacent market opportunities for applicable business service lines principally within the Construction Support and Operations & Maintenance environments. Primary region will be Europe with close technical and management interface with the US Renewables & Subsea Projects team to support with similar activities.

Integral to providing clear value propositions to target customers across Developer / Operators and Tier 1/2 contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL
  • Provide expert advice on / management of the formulation and execution of Customer Capture Plans, service provision opportunities and execution strategies
  • Develop, coach and manage a team of Business Development resources to deliver successful outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to exploit across the wider Offshore Wind lifecycle, select Oil & Gas and adjacent markets and work with key stakeholders to implement win strategies
  • Integrate other Oceaneering services into clear value propositions to maximise win potential and profitability
  • Identify collaborative opportunities to offer complimentary services to target customers
  • Attend and manage related forums (seminars, exhibitions etc) and campaigns to support business winning efforts
  • Secure targeted project opportunities which support attainment of business' financial plan
  • Close integration with Commercial and Engineering teams and Shared Services within the region to support business objectives.
  • Ensure the continued strength of Oceaneering's Culture and Core Values; holding employees accountable for commitments

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

This position will report to the Director of Renewables & Subsea Projects (Europe).

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Degree (Hons) in mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Experience developing, scoping, tendering and closing Offshore Wind opportunities for service or EPIC contractors in the marine, Survey, Inspection, Route Preparation and trenching, Installation or O&M space
  • Strong track record of managing cross functional teams effectively
  • Able to work in a matrix organization and cross-sell enterprise solutions to customers
  • Business Development competence to technically promote integrated products & services across multiple levels within customer organisations
  • Technical awareness and understanding in Offshore Wind subsea project execution - particularly foundations and TPs, cable installation / burial, and wider integrity related activities

DESIRED
  • Extensive experience of directly / indirectly managing / supporting Offshore Wind engineering, consenting, and construction with a Developer / Operator and/or Tier 1 Contractor
  • Broad, diverse network across Developer / Operators, OEMs EPIC contractors, Governmental / Regulatory stakeholders, Academia, and wider supply chain
  • Intimate knowledge of the Offshore Wind lifecycle, contracting structures and developing strategies which have capitalised on business growth opportunities
  • Working knowledge of contracting mechanisms and negotiations in the Offshore Wind market
  • Professional Engineering / Project Management / or similar certifications

  • Excellent communication skill able to explain complex and diverse issues effectively to a variety of audiences both in the business and customer communities
  • Ability to breakdown complex issues into manageable packages of information to allow clarity when making decisions
  • Seeks alternative / innovative solutions to resolve issues.
  • Willing to work the schedules required to close business
  • Ability to evaluate and analyse complex and interrelated data to identify where issues may arise in the future and proactively take action to address
  • Ability to deal with multiple information inputs in various forms and on a variety of subjects in a short timeframe while maintaining clarity of thought towards a successful conclusion

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
