Job Description

The Competency Assurance Lead role is essential to meeting operational expectations and long-term requirements for USO. The Competency Assurance Team assesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees and contractors in high risk activities for field-facing activities, to include: Production, Completions, Workover, LDAR, and Construction and Maintenance. In addition to administering the CA program, the CA Lead oversees and develops SOPs in the form of the Quick Reference Guide (QRG). This role currently supports ten unique QRGs. The Competency Assurance Program was a 2016 NEI Business Innovation Award Winner, demonstrating high value and will remain a fixture of USO operations.
  • Responsible for designing and developing the Competency Assurance program for Noble Energy's USO technical activities
  • Develops competencies based on required knowledge, skill, or ability requirements based on a variety of technical roles
  • Develops and updates Quick Reference Guides (QRG) to support USO
  • Leads coordination and implementation of all Competency Assurance assessments for three USO Business units
  • Assists individuals and teams to plan and facilitate training and assessment requirements/opportunities
  • Participates in the collection, reporting, and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develops assessment guide, preparation resources, and artifacts for all USO assessments
  • Maintains Learning Management System (LMS) content, includes current offerings, contact information, assessment calendar, transcripts, and other resources as required
  • Manages all assessment records to ensure compliance with NEI requirements
  • Gather and interpret survey information to improve assessment effectiveness
  • May travel up to 10% based on program requirements

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with three years of O&G experience
  • Two to five years of field production O&G experience preferred
  • Experience in Adult Education preferred

About the Team

Within our Production Operations department, many disciplines work together to design, implement, and manage oil and gas projects to achieve our production targets. Operations roles include gas measurement, workover operations, pipeline operations, field drilling and completions, line locators, lease operators, mechanics and construction workers.
