The position offers the chance to play a key role in the development of the Damco Implementation environment and methodology, helping to improve the overall performance of our process, while providing the opportunity to develop a personal business understanding across geographies and products as well as strong project management skills. Key responsibilities • Responsible for the implementation and service delivery of significant new business wins into the business environment whilst working closely with Sales and Operations Management to achieve a seamless transfer of ownership. • Responsible for the Implementation Management process within the district, anchoring processes, procedures and suitable resources across all other districts. • Liaison between the District and Center to ensure that the system are being utilize use effectively and further ensure processes are being follow in district and yet suitable for current condition. Finally, ensure that delivery customer promises. • Responsible for the pro-active management of the on-boarding and conversion measurements. • Alignment between customer expectation and operational delivery, management of internal and external stakeholders expectations if required. • Ensure that staff at origin and at destination understand SOP's and processes, and can deliver the agreed services. • The key point of contact for customers during the implementation and hyper-care phase. • Ensure that clearly defined process documentation is produced to support implementation plans and is shared with relevant operational / management personnel. • Assist and support Sales with business development projects where necessary, including presentations with customers. • Assist with re-engineering of existing business, where this relates to commercial up-selling of customer solutions. • Ensuring Customer satisfaction during the implementation phase. • Manage assigned projects in line with set objectives and deliverables. • Define, set-up and manage project teams for the execution of assigned projects. • Execute Implementation projects through use of applicable Implementation methodology. • Gather input from and manage stakeholders in each project. • Provide guidance and input to country implementation teams. • Liaise with other Districts and Centre implementation teams. • Provide input to the global Implementation strategy and community. • Provide input and guidance on the implementation of new customers when required. • Provide input to global tenders as and when required. We are looking for • 5+ years freight forwarding operational experience; exposure to key accounts and SCM an advantage. • Project management - experience in leading large scale projects with significant top management focus. • Wide geographical experience an advantage. • Working knowledge of operational platforms including global and local applications. • Good industry & customer knowledge. • Experienced in persuasion and negotiation with a demonstrable record of delivering mutually beneficial compromises. • Experience in navigating multiple stakeholders - preferably both within the District and Globally. Skills: • Ability to structure own work to ensure delivery on short term tasks whilst maintaining momentum on longer term strategic issues. • Excellent communication skills with comfort in working with and presenting to senior management. • Excellent communication skills with comfort in working with and presenting to all levels of external parties (Customers and Suppliers). • Process mindset. • Ability and desire to drive project to successful completion. • Financial, commercial and operational acumen.
