UTEC, part of Acteon Group, is one of the world's largest independent offshore and onshore survey providers. We provide a wide range of survey, positioning and data management services using the most advanced equipment and techniques. The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well informed, business decisions. UTEC are currently looking for a Senior Contract Engineer to join the team in Aberdeen on a 6 month contract basis initially. The role will provide assistance in all phases of Contractual and Compliance activity, i.e. pre and post contract (pre-qualification, tendering and contract / project delivery) Duties Undertake the review of Client provided contract documents and prepare contract qualifications at tender stage Operate within standardised Contracts policies, processes and systems and ensure compliance with these processes at all times Interface as required with Acteon Group Legal for support, advice and guidance in accordance with Group referral policy Interface with Commercial team to support pre-qualification, request for information and tendering requirements relevant to Contractual and Compliance issues Assist with the filing and administration of loss/damage incidents and possible insurance claims Maintenance of the claims register, updating management on progress and close out as appropriate Attend meetings with prospective clients, partners and subcontractors to ensure acceptable contract conditions are achieved as required Comply with all UTEC contract policies and procedures, and contribute to the assessment and continuous improvement of the same Maintain, file and store all Contractual documents, including insurance documentation Identify best practices and opportunities for improvement in UTEC Contracts policies and procedures Assist in the monitoring of existing contract expiry dates and subsequent renewal of the same Complete all compliance checks as required, including data input to Amber Road Adhere strictly to the Company's policies including, but not limited to, anti-bribery and Foreign Corrupt Practices Required Experience Degree qualified in a legal or commercial subject, alternatively relevant industry experience will be considered Relevant Contracts experience Strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation The ability to collaborate with all levels of the organisation Ability to manage multiple priorities Proactive and positive to changes and challenges Strong collaborative attitude with open communication with all interfacing parties Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the Company routinely operates Job Location UTEC - Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, United Kingdom Position Type Full-Time/Regular
